I noticed she wants phone numbers in order to be a guest DT. NO WAY in hell am I giving her my number! NO WAY! Not after reading all this! And another thing I was thinking about. Alot of girls want to be on DT's and will try out for hers because they are desperate. Even if they know what she is capable of. But here's the thing, they'll never get to use the experience of being on the MMFY DT to further their scrap careers. Because I'm sure once they are done with their term, she'll find something to get upset with them about and they'll never be able to use it on their scrap resume. Know what I mean? So, what's the point? That's why I'm not even going to bother...
What a valid comment! MMFY has calls for design team members all the time. Why? Because nobody can stand it for more than a couple of months. They find out what Frankie is really like, mean! Applicants think that being on a DT is all fun, but not with Krankie. There are the endless emails, phone calls and texts. If you don't make at least 10 posts a day on the board and spend at least 4 or 5 hours on the site, Frankie freaks out! Do you know she actually counts the number of posts a person makes on the board? If it's 9 instead of 10 she does this Dr Jekyll/Mr Hyde thing. She will call and curse you out and want to know why you feel like you can treat her site like it's not your job.
If you were to list MMFY design team on your scrapbook resume, you would be disqualified from many future opportunities. So many people, site owners and manufacturers, know how crazy this lady is and if you associate with her they hold it against you. One of her previous DT members was actually told by one publication that her work would not be published as long as she was a member of Frankie's team. This is a talented scrapper who has been published many times. Frankie thinks she is such an important part of the scrap world, but guess what...
She is known as a trouble maker who should be avoided at all costs.

Yep....I am totally embarrassed to ever say that I was on her DT and believe me if anybody were to ask I would not admit it. It was a big chunk out of my life that I am so glad to be done with....picking up the pieces still....thank goodness for this blog cause it certainly helps!!

Just means I want the inside scoop so, I stay.
I recently saw where a new member was asking Frankie a technical question about the board. Frankie was rude, of course - Typical Frankie. And told the girl when she changes her email address, make sure to give her the new one.
I'm sure this girl has no clue who Krankie is or that Krankie will use the email address to stalk her eventually. I want to warn this girl not to give Krankie her email address. I want to warn ALL the new people. But I can't. Krankie reads our PM's. How sick is that!?!?
that poor girl.....doesn't have a clue what she has gotten herself into. I so wish we could all go to the board and warn everybody!!

It is quite literally hundreds. Her sponsors do not understand this is not a small group in the minority that are messing with Krankie.
They will find out soon enough I suppose but you cannot say they have not been warned!
Go ahead and sponsor her....don't cry to me when you lose business because of her crazy antics.
Nothing against you personally, just poor business choices.
Any company that would support racism or spousal abuse. Or any company that knowingly allowed a man to beat up a woman and hid him.
You would NEVER do business with them.
So why do business with people who support Frankie Matire and her abusive habits.
She threatened to KILL ME! She threatened to send her mob husband to MURDER ME.
Telling me my children were better off if I was dead and I better watch out because I would be shot down.
I refuse to associate with any business who supports that behavior.
And now they have been warned.
No excuse to keep sponsoring her.

I come and I lurk..I read sometimes out of curiosity other times in disbelief. Is this really all true? Should I be worried? I'm part of MMFY, I haven't seen anything too crazy. A Am I being naive. I know recently there was a falling out with the DT's but she didn't really seem to make a big deal about it?
ReplyDeleteJust because she took down the donation link doesn't mean she is still not asking for money. She is. I refuse to give her money because I don't pay for friends. Its her board and if she wants to keep paying to run it then she can pay the bill. I can go to one of 1000 other sites if I want and I won't get harassed by the likes of Krankie. Nobody really likes her, they just don't want to leave the site because they don't want to leave the friends they've made. Plus she is probably threatening them too.

Honestly, I have removed being on her DT from my scrappy resume. I was afraid I would apply for a respectable DT position and they would see that I was associated with MMFY and not consider my work. So for those of you who are just applying for her DT to get free product or for something to add to your resume, it is not worth it. It is not worth the head ache, heart ache and amount of time that will be demanded of you. Just consider the number of DTs she has fired or who have left and never returned to the site.

Oh it is not just the DT it has been for over a year with over 500 people. Other sites have had to draw up legal documents to ask her to cease and desist. Not only one site, but 6 or 7.
Plus she has been banned for harassing members or asked to leave from about 12 sites.
You have no clue.

I was never on her DT. I was going to apply, then before the deadline was even close, she had already announced that she had chosen her new DT members. I didn't bother applying after that.
ReplyDeleteI did receive a PM from a member, after I had been MIA from the board for a while. This person inquired about where I was. I had a feeling Frankie had asked her to do this. I PM'd back, but didn't explain that I was sick of the drama. I made an excuse and left it at that.

She always has people pre-picked before a DT call. No need to even apply. If she wants you, she will ask you ahead of time. I'm not quite sure why she bothers except for an excuse to post on Pub Calls and attempt to drum up some business.
I have had to remove being on MMFY DT from my scrappy resume for fear of being blacklisted because I was associated with that nutty site.
I was part of Frankies's DT and it was the worse time of my life you could not go on vacation or have family time at all as she harassed you about everything. She called all the time yelling, screaming about fellow MMFY members and you never got to say a word and then she would hang up. The woman is rude and crude and I am so glad I was banned that was the best thing that could of happened to me. Luckily all my friends kept in touch from MMFY and I never lost out on anything other than Frankie's crude way.

YES! She asked me and at the time I owned a scrapbook business, so I told her no. I thought it quite odd to say the least...can we say 'conflict of interest'...but deep down I knew she just wanted FREE stuff for her alledged contests!
